One of two men charged in connection with a shooting death in Warren has been convicted on a reduced charge.

Stefon Alexander, 36, pleaded guilty on Friday to involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. Alexander had been charged with aggravated murder in connection with the August 2, 2020 death of 25-year-old Delquan Ware who was shot while driving on Summit St. NW.

The second suspect, 36-year-old Cameron Tillis, is scheduled to go on trial next month on charges of aggravated murder, a weapons violation, and tampering with evidence.

Tillis fled from Ohio but was arrested near Seattle Washington in December.

Alexander will be sentenced later.
