WARREN, Ohio - Police collected shell casings from at least two different weapons as they investigated the shooting of a 13-year-old boy on Warren’s Southwest side.

According to a police report, officers responding to a shooting around Jefferson Street and York Avenue just before 9 p.m. Monday night found the teen wounded in the leg at his Jefferson St. SW home, less than a block west of Quinby Park.

A witness reported that the shots came from a black Chevy Impala that headed south on York Avenue.

Officers say there was one 9 mm shell casing and three .22 caliber shells at the scene.

The teen was taken to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown for treatment.

The report does not say if police have any suspects or a motive for the shooting.
