ELKRUN TWP., Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it will cite the driver of an SUV that ran into an Ohio Department of Transportation mower along State Route 11 in Columbiana County.

Troopers tell 21 News that SUV struck the mower being pulled by a tractor along southbound Route 11 about two miles before the Lisbon interchange just after 7:30 a.m. Friday.

The woman driving the SUV was taken to a hospital for injuries the patrol describes as minor. She’ll be cited for failing to maintain an assured clear distance.

ODOT says the mower driver wasn’t injured.

According to ODOT, this marks the 80th time an ODOT crew has been struck in 2022.
