Canfield Museum to offer Tomb of the Unknown Soldier replica tour

The War Vet Museum (23, East Main St., Canfield) will be hosting a tour of a replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on June 29 and 30 respectively.
The replica is courtesy of Armstrong and the Exchange Club of Rome, who are hosting tours of the replica across the country.
"Armstrong seized this golden opportunity when it was presented and scheduled the visit right before the 4th of July holiday so the Mahoning Valley can honor our current armed service members and veterans," said Armstrong Community Marketing and Local Programming Manager, Greg Rhoton.
Tours of the War Vets museum will also take place, and visitors can view the Wall of Honor behind the replica display outdoors.
The tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a replica monument dedicated to American service members who have died without their remains being identified.
The National Monument is located in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia adjacent to Fort Myer just across the Memorial Bridge from Washington D.C.
The replica is an exact duplication scaled to half of the original monument size.
