One of 34 people rounded up during a two-month-long sting operation conducted by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force last summer is going to prison.

Mark Reda, 28, of Poland, was sentenced on Thursday to a nine-month prison term.

The sentence was part of a plea agreement that includes that Reda registers as a Tier Two sex offender.

Reda pleaded guilty in March to charges of importuning, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and possession of criminal tools.

The arrests were made during “Operation Full Court Press”, a crackdown on predators seeking to engage in sexual activity with children online.

From June 1, 2021, through July 29, 2021, fourteen of the suspects were arrested in Columbiana County.

Over a three-day period, officers from several communities arrested 20 suspects in Mahoning County.

Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene told 21 news that they worked with several agencies posing as underaged individuals to talk with potential predators online.

Federal, state, and other law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation.
