Youngstown Finance Committee to meet virtually after recent threats
The virtual meeting was decided after Youngstown city council members recently received threatening emails.

Youngstown Finance Committee will meet virtually Monday at 4:30 pm in light of recent events, the press release states.
According to Valencia Marrow, Youngstown City Clerk, the virtual meeting was decided instead of in-person in light of Youngstown city council members recently receiving threatening emails.
An alarming threat against Youngstown city council members sent through e-mail states last week read "Today I will be taking my AR-15 and hunting down as many council members I possibly can."
The author of the email states, "Thomas Hetrick who lives at [address]... I think I'll start with him. Or maybe I should start with Basia Adamczak who lives at [address]"
He then lists the council president's and councilwoman's home addresses or former home addresses.
The writer states, "Who knows what I'll do. Either way, prepare yourselves."
Prior to the e-mail threatening to hunt Youngstown council members down, their home addresses were listed on the city's website. On Friday they were removed.
The author of the email used a public official's name to try to make it appear that an official from Youngstown sent the email, but that was not the case.
There was a second identifying email address that lists a name that is familiar to the police.
Youngstown Police Department detectives are investigating the threats.
