Sentence handed down to Beaver Falls man caught in Mahoning Valley child sex sting

A Beaver Falls man has been sentenced for his role in a Mahoning Valley human trafficking sting.
Matthew Davis, 31, was handed a six-month prison term after pleading guilty to importuning, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles back in April.
Davis was arrested during a human trafficking sting involving 33 other people.
The sting, known as Operation Full Court Press, happened in August 2021. The goal was to identify predators online who were looking to have sexual activity with children.
Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene told 21 News that several agencies had people pretend to be underaged individuals to talk with the men online.
Davis was scheduled to appear in court in August 2021 but a clerical error caused confusion in the court.
He was booked into the Mahoning County Jail Thursday.
