Gasbuddy lists cheapest gas in Valley at $4.63

If you haven't filled your gas tank in a week, you may be surprised to find that prices at the pump have dropped in the Valley, in some places as much as 32 cents a gallon just in time for the holiday.
A survey of prices submitted to gasbuddy.com as of 6 a.m. Monday, showed the price of regular down from a week ago when gas was selling for just under $5 a gallon.
The cheapest gas in the Valley was listed at the Gulf along Youngstown Warren Road in Niles where the price was $4.63.
As of Monday, Triple-A listed the national average at $4.90 and $4.87 in Ohio.
Here in the Valley, the auto club said the average price in Trumbull County was $4.82; Mahoning County $4.83; Columbiana County $4.85; and Mercer County $4.98.

“For the first time in nine weeks, gasoline prices have fallen, following a broad sell-off in oil markets last week, pushing the national average back under the $5 level with most states seeing relief at the pump,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “I’m hopeful the trend may continue this week, especially as concerns appear to be mounting that we may be on the cusp of an economic slowdown, putting downward pressure on oil."
