SOUTHINGTON, Ohio -  Chalker high school is playing football this season as a club sport.

Former football coach Jim Wolke says the district has around 20 kids and hopes to play a minimum of seven games and a maximum of ten.

Wolke is hopeful the football program can return to varsity competition in the next couple of years when the junior high players move to high school.  Wolke says the junior high numbers are good.

The Wildcats will start their season in September and are finalizing its schedule.
