Sen. Brown comments on Delphi retirees with no pensions

HOWLAND, Ohio - Just last week, President Joe Biden announced millions of dollars to help restore pensions for Ohio workers. But, one group left out of that announcement included workers at the former Delphi Automotive plant in Howland.
Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown spoke with 21 News on the issue.
He says while he has not spoken with the president specifically about the Delphi salaried retirees, he has been in touch with the White House on a lot of pensions- including Delphi- that he believes need restored.
The big problem, he says, is that there's no Republican support to make it happen.
"We've gotten a total of zero Republicans to support this," said Senator Brown. "I know the Delphi pensioners have their anger directed at Joe Biden, but Joe Biden's fixing some of these pensions as I have, and I just want to see a bipartisan fix here that we can pass."
Senator Brown added that it's been difficult with a 50/50 Senate, and that Delphi retirees need to push their Republican friends to support and help restore their pensions.
