Sixty calves perish in Columbiana County barn fire

WEST TWP., Columbiana Co., Ohio - Investigators estimate 60 calves died in a barn fire in western Columbiana County Friday night.
Sandy Creek Joint Fire District Chief Aaron Stoller tells 21 News that 20 other calves were saved after flames broke out in a barn on Essick Road in West Township.
The Minerva Fire Department was dispatched Friday where crews found a barn fully involved in flames.
Other fire departments called to the scene included the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Hanoverton Fire Department, North Georgetown Fire Department, Homeworth Fire, Augusta Township Volunteer Fire Dept, Nimishillen Township Fire Department, and the Great Trail Fire District.
Chief Stoller says two other buildings were damaged by flames. No one was injured.
Investigators are still looking for the cause of the fire.
