NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - If a company is looking to open a dog park in Newton Falls, it could have to pay a $100 fee.
According to an ordinance amendment, the village is looking to add a $100 non-refundable dog park fee if a private company would want to open one.
The fee would be a one-time payment by the company.
Mayor Ken Kline said the money would be used to help run and provide for the community just like other zoning fees.
The fee is not for Newton Falls residents, only a company that would want to bring a dog park to the area.
