Animal Charity of Ohio is investigating after discovering a dead dog inside of a home on Youngstown's south side.

A search warrant was served at the home on East Boston Avenue Friday afternoon.

That's where agents said they found the dog dead inside and a reptile that was still alive. Animal Charity says the animals were allegedly left unattended while their owner was out of state for several weeks.

Charges are pending.

In another search warrant served in the same day, Animal Charity were able to find and rescue two dogs that have been left behind after their owner allegedly moved out of their apartment.

There was no electricity in the apartment, the apartment was very hot and both dogs were found covered in urine and feces. The two dogs are currently receiving treatment from Animal Charity.
