State Representative Mike Loychik is challenging the candidacy of his opponent in the November election.

Loychik announced his intention to file a legal challenge against Independent candidate Jennifer Donnelly of Cortland Wednesday.

Representative Loychik won the Republican Nomination for the 65th District in the August 2nd Primary, defeating challenger Randy Law.

He received more than 70 percent of the votes cast on the GOP ticket.

A Democrat did not file a petition to run in the primary.

Donnelly, a pet health insurance claims adjuster, filed to run in the November general election on August 1st.
