PITTSBURGH, Pa - A Lawrence County man has been sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison and five years of supervised release for distributing cocaine in New Castle.

Thirty-seven-year-old Dondi Searcy Jr. was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.

Intercepted communications revealed Searcy's role in a large-scale cocaine distribution based out of the New Castle area.

Searcy and his conspirators arranged for cocaine to be distributed primarily by mail from California to New Castle, where they would distribute the cocaine.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, the New Castle Police Department, the Lawrence County District Attorney's Office and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office assisted with the investigation.
