SALEM, Ohio - The City of Salem will be rocking and rolling this weekend with plenty of live music for Freed Fest.

The festival is in honor of Alan Freed, a Cleveland-based radio DJ who coined the term, Rock 'n' Roll in the 1950s and will feature many local musicians playing in various spots throughout the town.

There will be two stages, both featuring plenty of local bands, but that's not all. Plenty of local hotspots will feature live music and art as well.

The festival itself will kick off Saturday August 13, but folks can gather at local hot spots Friday to get a little taste of the music early. And on Sunday, music lovers can still enjoy a concert in the park plus a car show.
