Boardman Police arrest 717 Credit Union robbery suspect

BOARDMAN, Ohio - The Boardman Police have arrested a Youngstown woman as a suspect in Friday's robbery of the 717 Credit Union.
Bobbisue Averill, 42, was booked into the Mahoning County Jail Saturday on charges of robbery, one felony count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and contempt of court.
Police Chief Todd Werth tells 21 News that Averill was picked up on the motor vehicle charge which was filed back in May and also charged her in connection with the credit union holdup.
Police say a woman entered the credit union on California Avenue at around 11:30 a.m. and handed the bank teller a threatening handwritten note demanding money.
The robber was given what the police say was a small amount of money and then left the bank and got in the passenger side of a black Ford Explorer.
After circulating a surveillance image of the suspect, Chief Werth says police received several tips identifying the woman as Averill.
Early Saturday, police got another tip that Averill was at Jordan's Market in Youngstown.
Police went to the market and arrested Averill.
