YOUNGSTOWN - The 13th annual Panerathon hit multiple milestones following the completion of the races on Sunday.

The 10k and 2-mile fun run plowed over downtown Youngstown roads and curved through Mill Creek Park's scenic roads.

Every runner and walker raised $475,000 for the first and only comprehensive breast care center in Youngstown.

The Panerathon has raised $3.5 million for the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center since its' inception in 2009.

Throughout August, the care center sent a mobile mammography unit around northeast Ohio to provide care closer to home for some women. This was made possible for the JACBCC through the funds the Panerathon, and Panera Bread's Pink Ribbon Bagel has raised over the years.

These funds have also resulted in local breast cancer outreach breakthroughs, education, and early diagnosis.

"We are excited to welcome our community to join in Panerathon again this year to support the JACBCC," said Paul Homick Jr., Mercy Health President. "Not only is it critical that we continue to raise funds for the important and lifesaving services provided by the JACBCC and ensure that anyone
can get treatment there, regardless of ability to pay; this year's Panerathon demonstrates the resolve of our community to
continue to support others in the community in need of medical services."

The Panerathon has been the largest community fundraising event in the Valley since it began in 2009.

The results are in for the 2022 Panerathon; check out the race's website for more information.
