Proposal filed to build Frito Lay warehouse on Hubbard wetlands

HUBBARD, Ohio - A part of the wetlands on Bell Wick Road in Hubbard could become a warehouse for Frito Lay.
According to the Army Corps of Engineers, the applicant proposes a 27,500-square-foot building on that property.
It would include a warehouse, garage, office space, driveway and parking area, and a stormwater management facility.
The project would impact 0.68 acres of two wetlands. According to the application, a proposal to buy 1.7 acres of forested wetlands from the Stream and Wetlands Foundation In-Lieu Fee Program as compensatory mitigation is included.
The application says the project will not likely affect endangered or threatened species in the area and does not affect any historic places or areas.
