Boardman Township has partnered with Republic Services to provide a one-time trash pickup for items damaged during the flooding on Sunday.

Some guidelines need to be followed, though. Individual disposal items should weigh 50 pounds or less due to safety reasons. In cases where this is not possible, a truck with added manpower will be sent.

There are also a few other restrictions listed below:

- No tires or batteries

- Carpet rolled, tied, or taped no longer than four inches

- Lumber/construction debris no longer than four inches

- Cardboard boxes broken down

- All mattresses bagged and sealed

In addition, Republic offers free direct disposal at the landfill up to one ton. Any resident may direct haul to Carbon Limestone Landfill in Lowellville.

Any cleanup debris disposed of over one ton, up to three tons, will be charged at $25 per ton. This cleanup service will be through September 20.

To register for curbside bulk pickup, email your street address to [email protected]. If your situation exceeds the 50-pound weight limit, indicate this in your email.

To be eligible for the service, show a current utility bill showing proof of residency and a valid ID with a matching address.
