St. James Smokehouse salmon recalled due to potential Listeria contamination

St. James Smokehouse has issued a voluntary recall of 93 Scotch Reserve Scottish Smoked Salmon cases due to potential Listeria contamination.
Listeria is an organism that can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail and elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.
The recalled product with sold and distributed via various distributors between February and June of 2022 in stores in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Washington State, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The recalled product is St. James Scotch Reserve Scottish Smoked Salmon in four-ounce packages bearing lot number 123172 and UPC code 060022710356. No other products are associated with this recall.
Anyone who has purchased a product matching the description above should not consume it and, instead, throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
No illnesses have been reported as of Friday, September 2.
