After spending five days cleaning up the soggy mess left by last weekend’s heavy rainfall, the Save A Lot on Route 224 in Boardman is open for business again.

The store reopened Friday after being shut down on Saturday when storms brought flooding to the parking lot and store’s interior.

Owner Henry Nemenz told 21 News that the storm left about two inches of water on the store’s floor.

Nemenz said some of the upgrades performed at the business in May 2019, when the grocery store sustained substantial damage from flooding, prevented this flooding from being worse than it is.

The previous flood closed the Save A Lot through the summer months of 2019.
