DeWine announces state support for Youngstown Business Incubator

For years, the Youngstown Business Incubator has been assisting people in and around the Valley, with various tech-business start ups.
"We work with anything that's primarily tech based, but in the past probably ten years now," said Corey Patrick, Entrepreneurship Services director. "We've added a few extra programs one around additive manufacturing and 3-d printing, and then we've added a couple more locally focused programs," he said.
Some of those programs include women and youth entrepreneurship programs.
"We became a state designated site to be a minority business assistance center," Patrick said.
The business Incubator works with fifty different companies, 20 of them tech-based, the others non-tech, more traditional businesses.
Governor Mike DeWine says he wants to push Youngstown forward, and announced state help for the Business Incubator, to further expand the businesses there and bring 70 new jobs into the city.
"The Youngstown Incubator will receive 475,000 community grant dollars from Jobs Ohio," said Governor DeWine. "This grant will go toward the completion of the renovation of this building," he said.
"What we're all about at the end of the day is economic development, job creation and really bringing life back to, not just ohio, but especially here in Youngstown," Patrick said.
