The 58th Annual Hartford Apple Festival kicks off on Friday, September 16 and will run until Sunday, September 18. Here's everything you need to know before you go.

The festival kicks off Friday at 6:00 p.m. with an opening ceremony. From there, the 58th anniversary queen will be crowned, there will be parades, live music, an apple pie eating contest and much more all over the course of three days.

The parade will take place on Saturday with multiple road closures. The following roads will be closed between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

- State Route 7 at Drake Stateline Road

- State Route 7 at Spencer Clark Road

- State Route 305 at Bushnell Campbell Road

- State Route 305 at Custer Orangeville Road

- Hartford Five Points Road at Bushnell Campbell Road

Additionally, State Route 305 between State Route 7 and Brockway Sharon Road (Stateline Road) will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday for the 5K run.

FRIDAY:

- 6:00 p.m. - Opening ceremonies

- 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. - Food vendors, local church booths and scouts

- 7:00 p.m. - Queens Ceremony and crowning of the 58th anniversary queen

- 8:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. - Queens dance

- 11:00 p.m. - Festival closing

SATURDAY:

- 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. - Horticulture Registration at Fire Hall

- 9:00 a.m. - Crafters on grounds 

- 10:00 a.m. - Pet parade

- 10:30 a.m. - Bike parade

- 11:00 a.m. - Kids games

- 12:00 p.m. - Kids tractor pull, horticulture judging and flag raising by Boy Scout Troop #90

- 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. - Horticulture display

- 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. - High five the clown and magician show with balloons

- 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Line up for parade (register at corner of Bushnell-Campbell and Hartford Five Points Road. Enter from Route 305)

- 6:00 p.m. - Parade begins

- 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. - Live music from Pipe Dreams

- 11:00 p.m. - Festival closing

SUNDAY:

- 8:00 a.m.-8:45 a.m. - Registration for 5K run and one mile walk

- 9:00 a.m. - Run starts and crafters on grounds

- 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. - Breakfast available on midway

- 10:30 a.m. - Church service with non-denominational pastor MaryAnne Rufener and Patory Gary Meikle 

- 12:00 p.m. - Flag raising by Boy Scout Troop #90 and food vendors and local booths open

- 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. - Live music from Ty's Tunes, horticulture display and 24th annual car cruise in at Hartford United Methodist Church

- 1:00 p.m. - Apple pie eating contest

- 2:00 p.m. - Apple peeling contest

- 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. - Live music from Justified

- 9:00 p.m. - Festival ends

There will be a $5 entry fee for the car cruise in. There will be music from DJ "Big Papa" Dale Steele, as well as a 50/50 raffle.
