BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio -  Police investigating a complaint from a neighbor about yelling and banging heard in a duplex on Chester Drive Thursday night say they were met at the door by a man who allowed the officers inside.

According to the police report, the man said there was no fight and he was just playing cards.

Police say 43-year-old Sarah Davis, who lives in the apartment, refused to talk about the fight and yelled at the officers, ordering them to leave.

The report says that Davis slammed the door as he was leaving, injuring the patrolman’s elbow.

The officer says he pushed the door back open, forced Davis to the ground, and placed her in handcuffs.

Davis was booked into the county jail on charges of assaulting a police officer and obstructing official business.

Next week Davis is scheduled to answer both of those felony charges in court, as well as a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.

The officer reported that his elbow was swollen because of being hit by the door.
