Warren police searching for suspect who abused corpse, desecrated mausoleum

While Halloween is right around the corner, what happened at a Warren cemetery was not in the spirit of the season.
The Warren Police Department was called to investigate a break-in of the Western Reserve Mausoleum which was built in 1929, in the cemetery of the same name along Niles Road SE. on Wednesday around 2 p.m. The cemetery sits between Oakwood Cemetery and Saint Mary's Cemetery.
According to the police report, the officer was dispatched to the location and found the front door of the mausoleum open.
The police are investigating the break-in, and the person or persons responsible will face multiple charges, including desecration, a felony, breaking and entering, a fourth-degree felony and abuse of a corpse, a second-degree misdemeanor.
