Fuel the Fight Car Show canceled due to weather

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Fuel the Fight Car Show scheduled for Sunday, September 25 was canceled because of the local forecast.
Scattered showers kept collector cars at home, but the event organizers are trying to reschedule.
Originally, the event was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ice House Inn in Austintown.
The car show is held to show off collector cars and raise awareness for prostate cancer.
The event offers prostate screenings and raises money for Man Up Mahoning Valley, which is a component program of the Mercy Health Foundation.
The program offers free prostate screenings throughout the year, and was created to educate men "about the need to be checked for prostate cancer," according to Mercy Health's press release.
"All men are at risk for prostate cancer, but when caught early, there's a far better outcome which makes annual screenings so important," Laura Boomhower, the community outreach liaison for Man Up Mahoning Valley, said. "Our hope is this event will create an opportunity - not only for families who want to enjoy a fun day together - but also for all the dads, uncles, brothers, ect. who want to make their health a priority."
Alongside hundreds of collector cars are food vendors and the Austintown Choir. Trophies are given out for several categories including Best in Class and Fan Favorite.
The staff is planning to reschedule, but a new time, location and date has not been set yet.
