Liberty woman accused of kicking officer, charged with OVI, child endangering

A Liberty Township woman faces charges after police say she kicked an officer after she was caught allegedly driving drunk with a child in her car.
A township officer says she turned on her cruiser’s lights and sirens after seeing an SUV run a stop sign along Ravine Drive Saturday night.
The officer says the SUV went faster, going through another stop sign before pulling over near Logan Way.
Driving the SUV was 32-year-old Nevalynn Grays. A 5-year-old child was also in the car.
Police say Grays agreed to undergo a field sobriety test, which the officer said had to be stopped to prevent Grays from falling to the ground.
According to the police report, Grays refused to submit to a breath test.
The report says Grays became violent as she was being moved from a cruiser and kicked one officer in the groin.
The child was turned over to a relative while Grays was booked into the county jail on charges of felonious assault, child endangering, and OVI.
A court hearing was scheduled for Grays on Monday.
