Army Reservist and Howland father surprises kids at school

HOWLAND, Ohio - Three Howland siblings got quite the surprise at their schools Thursday afternoon.
Staff Sergeant Thomas Green had been deployed in the Middle East for the last 14 months. He had only seen his kids for a couple of weeks over the Summer during that time.
Upon his return, Green decided to surprise his kids at school.
At Glen Primary School, Green was there for his son, 2nd grader Austin. He surprised him during an assembly and was there when the curtain on stage opened.
At HC Mines Elementary School, he surprised his son, 4th grader Chase. Chase was getting an award and when he turned around, there was his dad with balloons.
At Howland Intermediate School, Green surprised his daughter, 5th grader Lily. Lily was in class listening to announcements when he walked in. She ran to him and jumped in his arms.
While they all missed him greatly, they won't have to anymore. Staff Sergeant Thomas Green is now home for good.
