Kent man pleads no contest to assaulting, yelling racial slurs at Youngstown native in viral video

AKRON, Ohio - A Kent man pleaded no contest in an Akron Municipal Court Wednesday afternoon on charges related to punching a Youngstown woman in February, 2022.
Andrew Walls plead no contest to one count of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.
Walls was originally charged with two counts of assault and one count of possessing weapons while intoxicated after attacking Youngstown native Cameron Morgan in Highland Square.
The incident was originally captured on video, and shows Walls using racial slurs before punching Morgan in the face.
Morgan suffered a split lip from the incident.
Morgan grew up in Youngstown, but now lives in Summit County. She filed a claim in Summit County Common Pleas Court against Walls.
Local attorney Dave Betras filed a civil suit against Walls after he was linked to a with a white supremacy group, the Proud Boys.
Andrew Walls will be sentenced October, 21 in Akron Municipal Court.
