Warren Police are investigating after a woman told officers that private pictures she took of herself may have ended up in the wrong hands.

According to a police report, the 29-year-old woman said she was home alone Wednesday night, so she thought she would take some provocative pictures of herself on her new phone and text the pictures to her husband, who was at work.

The woman woke up the next morning to find a text message on her phone saying it was from an FBI agent who threatened to post the nude photos of her on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Fox News, and CNN News in 23 hours.

The woman texted back, asking who had sent the text.

She received a reply showing the four pictures she had sent to her husband the night before along with a message that he was going to expose her and take everything she owns.

The woman told police that she then stopped replying to whoever was sending the texts.

The investigating officer spoke with the woman’s husband who insisted that he didn’t share his wife’s photos with anyone or post them on any websites.

Police told the woman to tell her phone provider what had happened and to ask for a new phone and a new number.
