Baby formula products recalled over improperly sealed bottle caps

Abbott has issued a proactive recall on certain lots of 2 fluid ounce / 59 ml bottles of baby formula products due to cases of improperly sealed bottle caps.
Recalled products include Similac Pro-Total Comfort, Similac 360 Total Care Sensitive, Similac Special Care 24, Similac Stage 1, Similac Water (Sterilized), Similac NeoSure and Pedialyte Electrolyte Solution.
The products were manufactured in Columbus and primarily distributed to hospitals, doctor's offices, distributors and some retailers throughout the U.S. including Puerto Rico.
A small percentage of the recalled products have bottle caps that may not have been sealed completely, which could result in spoilage. If a spoiled product is consumed, consumers have a risk of gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting.
If you have any of these recalled products in your home, stop using them immediately and contact Abbott customer service for further instruction.
To identify if your product is part of the recall, check the lot number printed at the bottom or side label of the bottle.
