A Wellsville man will spend 23 years behind bars following Thursday's hearing at the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Timothy Coles, 36, is sentenced on charges filed in connection with sex crimes committed against four children, one as young as six years old.
Last month Coles pleaded guilty to multiple counts including attempted rape, rape, attempted sexual battery, and gross sexual imposition.
Along with the prison sentence, Coles is ordered to register as a Tier III Sexual Offender, meaning he must register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
Coles had been scheduled to go on trial for crimes that occurred over a period beginning in 2012 through 2019.
Three of the victims were ten years old when the incidents began. The fourth alleged victim was only six.
Investigators say Coles was involved in the community, including as a coach.
