YOUNGSTOWN -  The Mahoning County Dog Warden is asking members of the public to help them find the owner of a dog found abandoned and sick on Youngstown’s West Side.

A post on the agency’s Facebook page says the dog, recovered on Dogwood Drive, was suffering from a fever, dehydration, and was soaked in urine.

The dog, who staff at the dog pound has named “Koda”, is about five months old.

According to the post, Koda is severely underweight with his spine protruding.

The urine burns on Koda’s paws have turned to painful ulcers, making him unable to walk.

The Facebook post says Koda was so dehydrated, he attempted to drink the water while he was getting a bath.

Anyone who has information about Koda’s owner is asked to send an email to: acohumanedepartment@gmail.com
