Two Trumbull Correctional Institute employees taken to hospital after inmate attack
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

Two employees at the Trumbull Correctional Institute in Levittsburg were injured by an inmate, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction spokesperson.
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at approximately 12:45 p.m., an inmate-on employee assault resulted in the two TCI employees being sent to the hospital. According to the ODRC spokesperson, the employees were treated and released, but no other information regarding the nature of the injuries was available.
The incarcerated person that allegedly attacked the TCI employees was transferred to the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
