EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - An East Liverpool man has been sentenced for his role in a cocaine trafficking ring.

Romeon Alford, 47, was sentenced in federal court to 10 years in prison and five years of supervised release for his connection to a conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Alford's charges stemmed from a drug trafficking ring in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. An investigation revealed that the ring would supply conspirators with multiple ounces of cocaine weekly which would then be sold to users.

According to the release, Alford was one of the people getting cocaine from the main target and sold it to other users.

Between November 2019 and January 2020, officers conducted buying operations from Alford in East Liverpool. They followed up the operations with a federal search warrant and found multiple ounces of cocaine.

The investigation also found that Alford had been supplied multiple ounces of cocaine weekly since January 2019.
