Ohio & PA - The three local congressional candidates in the 6th, 14th and 16th districts held by incumbent republicans have retained their seats.
Ohio Republican incumbent Bill Johnson won 67.8% of the vote against Democratic candidate Louis Lyras.
Ohio Republican incumbent Dave Joyce won 61.9% percent of the vote against Democratic candidate Matt Kilboy.
Pennsylvania Republican incumbent Mike Kelly won 61.4% of vote against democratic candidate Dan Pastore.
Congressman Johnson, Joyce and Kelly said inflation and the economy are among the most significant priorities.
They also want border control and policies in place to hold the Biden administration accountable for how they spend taxpayer dollars.
6th district Valley Congressman Bill Johnson said with the winning vote, he wants to tackle drugs, human trafficking, border security and inflation including high gas and energy prices.
"Working to get our energy production up, oil and gas production up, putting the infrastructure in place so we can get our own oil and gas to market rather," Johnson said, "and of course, holding the Biden administration accountable for how they have spent the Covid money."
Ohio's 14th district Congressman-elect Dave Joyce serves on the House Committee on Appropriations. Joyce said he wants to see more responsible spending and capitalize on jobs in the voltage valley.
"First off, we have to stop the rampant spending that's been taking place in this administration because there's just too much money obviously out in circulation and we need to control that and contain that," Joyce said, "bringing jobs back to the area, with some of the exciting things that are going on, with Foxconn and the ability to bring jobs back here because look, we have the infrastructure."
In Pennsylvania, 16th district incumbent Congressman Mike Kelly said he plans to lower "out-of-control inflation" and gas prices by removing regulations on the energy sector and allowing for increased energy production. Kelly said he will continue to fight for lower taxes.
This is Joyce's 6th term in office and both Johnson and Kelly's 7th term.
