During a Warren police press conference Monday, updates were issued on three recent homicides within the city.

According to the police, victim 36-year-old Lee Lambert of Austintown was killed at what police say was his girlfriend's home at 1919 Charles Ave. SE at 5:46 pm on November 7.

Police charged 29-year-old Theodore Ray Nolan, 29, who pleaded "not guilty" during a video arraignment from the Trumbull County Jail.

Police say they received a 911 call from Nolan, who claimed he had shot Lambert, claiming he was waving a gun at women and children.

Police said that based on interviews during their investigation, the victim and the suspect both had guns.

A judge in Warren Municipal Court set bond at $500,000 for Nolan. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 18 in Warren.

Police and Trumbull Prosecutors moved on to the second homicide that took place on November 11, at 5:57 pm at 2217 Odgen Ave. NW, when an off-duty officer heard and reported gunfire in the area.

According to the police, a vehicle pulled up to the off-duty officer flashing its lights with a gunshot victim in the car, and followed the car to the hospital.

The three out-of-town people in the car had come to Warren to sell a Playstation 5 gaming system, sold through an online trading app. The driver of the car, 16-year-old Brunswick High School student Mye'Zavier Cannady was killed, when suspects opened fire after he jumped into his car and attempted to flee the scene.

Trumbull County Prosecutors reminded the public that a safe transaction trade space was set up in Warren in 2017.

Warren police reported they are actively investigating leads and hope to resolve the case.
