The Hometown Holiday Parade will spread holiday cheer through the streets of downtown New Castle Saturday, November 19.

Floats, school bands and giant balloons will begin making their way through the city at 3 p.m.

Beginning at the fire station near Beer 4 Less, the parade will run along South Croton Avenue, turn onto East Washington Street and end at the Columbus Interbelt near the YMCA.

The tree lighting and fireworks display will follow at 5:30 p.m. Mayor Chris Frye and Grand Marshal Andrew Morgan, a NASA Astronaut and New Castle native, will light the tree in memory of Robert Del Signore Sr. 

Prior to the parade, festivities will include pictures with Santa at the New Castle News, live music, and food vendors from noon until 3 p.m.

Following the tree lighting, live music will be performed from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Confluence and at the Servaxnet on the Diamond.
