The Mahoning Valley Historical Society (MVHS) is set to open its 14th edition of its Memories of Christmas Past exhibit on Saturday November 19 at noon at the Arms Family Museum.
The exhibit will feature seven rooms filled with vintage decorations, Christmas trees, lights and more. Above is a slideshow to give you a sneak peak of what you can expect to see at this year's exhibit.
Additionally, the exhibit includes two gift shops featuring new and vintage decorations and ornaments, as well as Santa's Village where children and families can enjoy historically-themed hands-on activities.
The exhibit will run until December 31 and will be open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m. and until 7:00 p.m. for Twilight Thursdays in December.
The museum will be open Monday, December 26 from noon until 4:00 p.m. and December 31 from noon to 7:00 p.m.
Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors age 60 and up, $8 for children aged 3 to 18, and free for toddlers under 3, MVHS members and military members and veterans with a valid ID.
MVHS will also have $2 off coupons in many of its holiday advertisements.
In addition to the regular exhibit, MVHS will be adding a special event this year. On Wednesday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m., MVHS will host a screening of "Feast of the Seven Fishes" in the Thomas Ballroom at the Tyler History Center.
This 2018 holiday comedy follows an Italian-American family preparing for their traditional Christmas Eve dinner.
The event will include a live Q&A with writer and director, Robert Tinnell after the movie.
