Trumbull drug task force makes bust on I-80

WARREN, Ohio - The TAG Drug Task Force says deputies and local police have uncovered suspected drugs in recent days, with one drug bust happening on Interstate 80 in Trumbull County.
On Friday November 18, deputies with TAG, the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office interdiction unit and members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol confiscated four kilograms of suspected cocaine within a vehicle that was pulled over during a probable cause traffic stop along I-80.
K9 Unit Lincoln sniffed out the vehicle and alerted agents to the presence of narcotics.
When officers searched the vehicle, they found the suspected cocaine.
The TAG Drug Task Force says the investigation is ongoing and charges will be filed pending lab results of the evidence found.
In a separate investigation, members of TAG and Warren police executed two search warrants at in the 600 block of Austin Avenue S.W. and the 600 block of Oak Circle S.W.
They found a handgun that was reported stolen, ounce quantities of suspected cocaine, suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin, suspected meth and $13,000 in cash.
TAG says the findings remain under investigation.
