16 people killed in crashes during Thanksgiving travel period in Ohio
Troopers arrested 270 people for OVI and another 130 for drugs between November 23-27.

Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released statistics from the Thanksgiving traveling period.
According to the release, 16 people were killed in 15 fatal crashes over the five-day period.
That's slightly less than 2021 when 17 people were killed in 14 fatal crashes.
Of the 16 people that passed away, 10 were not wearing a seatbelt and six crashes involved impaired driving.
Troopers arrested 270 people for OVI and another 130 for drugs between November 23-27.
Another 686 seatbelt citations and 100 distracted driving violations were issued.
State troopers also assisted 1,542 drivers during that time.
