Fundraiser created for mother, daughter killed in Lowellville
A fundraiser has been created for a mother and daughter who were killed in a murder suicide in Lowellville Wednesday night.
At around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night, police were called to the 300 block of Watson Street in reference to what they describe as a "domestic dispute" which resulted in the shooting deaths of 55-year-old Deborah (Debbie) Hudak and her 25-year-old daughter, Cathryn (Katie) Hudak.
Now, a friend of the family has started a GoFundMe in order to raise money to pay for memorial expenses.
"Debbie always treated us like we were her own children. She was kind, she was patient and she always wanted what was best for us. Katie was so vibrant and so full of life. She was always kind to everyone," the fundraiser reads.
"Neither of them deserve what happened to them. They should be sitting at home right now with each other but instead they're gone," it continues.
The fundraiser has a goal of $15,000. If you would like to send a donation, you can do so by clicking here.
