Brookfield Police arrest man accused of leading multiple departments on dangerous chases

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Brookfield Police arrested a man on Friday who they say led multiple police departments on multiple dangerous chases over the past few months.
According to a Facebook post, 46-year-old Wayne Sailar has felony warrants in both Ohio and Pennsylvania for several vehicle thefts as well as fleeing and eluding.
Brookfield Police along with Hartford Police and deputies from the Mercer County Sheriff's Department were able to locate Sailar in a wooded area and took him into custody.
Police described Sailar as "a menace to our communities and a threat to anyone who travels through them."
Brookfield Police thanked everyone who assisted in this months-long operation including Hartfield Police, Hubbard Police, Trumbull and Mercer County Sheriff's Departments, Sharon Police, Hermitage Police, Farrell Police, South Pymatuning Police, PSP, Mercer County Probation, U.S. Marshalls, Trumbull County Dispatch and all citizens who helped.
