The South Range boys basketball coach Will Klucinec has been placed on administrative leave, according to the school's superintendent Bethany Carlson and the Board of Education president, Brian Bagwell.

One basketball game this week was postponed, but no official reason has been given for the leave.

Klucinec has been the head basketball coach of the district since 2021.

In a written co-written statement to 21 News, Bagwell and Carlson said that the "... status of the basketball program is status quo to the extent possible. The head coach is on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, however, the district has taken steps to allow games and practices to continue as much as possible. Out of respect for the privacy of our students, families, and staff member, the district cannot comment further at this time."
