SLIDESHOW: Several floors of Youngstown Police Department flooded
1/6
YOUNGSTOWN - It's the second worst flooding in decades, according to members of the Youngstown Police Department.
Several floors of the West Boardman Street building flooded Tuesday, leaving holes in large parts of the ceiling.
ServPro crews are already in the building surveying the damage and beginning to clean up.
We're told it happened when a previously frozen pipe warmed up a bit and suddenly burst. As the weather gets slightly warmer over the next week, officers say they're concerned more pipes could do the same.
It was a similar situation almost exactly one year ago, when another burst pipe flooded the department on December 13th of 2021.
