Dennis Malloy sworn in as Trumbull County Commissioner

TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - Trumbull County's newest Commissioner, Dennis Malloy was sworn into office Thursday afternoon.
Malloy won against former State Representative, Mike O'Brien back in November. He took his oath of office on the fishing docks at Mosquito Lake in Cortland.
Malloy told 21 News one of his goals for office is to be a voice for those in smaller areas of the county and to make sure the county's share of ARP funds doesn't go to waste.
He also expressed desire to make sure board meetings are more civil from here on out.
"The first thing I need to do is bring normalcy to the Board of Commissioners meetings. My goal is to make those boring meetings in Trumbull County and not to have any circus atmospheres because things have been rough the past couple of years, but I think the three of us think we can all put aside everything in the past to work on what's best for the citizens of the county," Malloy said.
Malloy's first official day on the job will be at the first commissioners meeting of 2023.
