Warren woman accused of speeding drunk, wrong way with kids in car

WARREN, Ohio - Warren Police have arrested a woman who they say was driving drunk through yards and speeding the wrong way on a street while three children slept unrestrained in her SUV.
According to a police report, an officer on patrol Sunday evening spotted a Ford Explorer driving toward him at a high rate of speed near North Park Avenue and Atlantic Street.
The officer says the car began traveling in the opposite lane of the street and traveled through yards on Forest Street NE before coming to a stop at Olive Avenue NE and Atlantic Street.
Police say three boys, ages 2, 4, and 7, were sleeping in the back seat without car seats or seat belts.
The officer says the driver, 34-year-old Jessica Cullivan of Warren, appeared to have glossy eyes and slurred speech.
According to the police report, after Cullivan admitted that she drank four shots of vodka, she agreed to undergo a field sobriety test.
While being given instructions for the test, the officer said Cullivan saluted him saying, “Aye, Aye, captain!”
The report says that Cullivan told the officer, “Yes, I’m drunk” and “I’m going to jail”.
While being transported to jail, police say Cullivan banged her head on the divider in the cruiser and slipped out of her handcuffs.
Cullivan, who police say refused to give blood sample, was charged with DUI, driving left of center, failing to use child restraints, and three counts of child endangering.
The children were turned over to a relative.
