NILES, Ohio - The Eastwood Event Center will begin serving fresh meals for kids and adults every Friday with the first round of meals going out January 13.

Eastwood Event Center General Manager, Jeff Boros tells 21 News he decided to start this program due to high demand of carryout services ever since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. So far the response to this service has been positive.

The menu can be accessed by a QR code that can be found in one of two ways on a flier for the service or on the Eastwood Mall's website. Orders can be placed starting on Mondays and folks have until Wednesdays at noon to place their order.

Once you've placed your order, you can stop at the event center between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Friday and pick up your food which will be in a bag ready for you.

This week's entree for adults is chicken francaise with roasted potatoes and green beans and a slice of cheesecake with blueberry and raspberry compote for dessert. This will be $24 per person. There will also be wedding soup for $12 per person.

Kids meals are $10 per person and this week's entree is chicken fingers with macaroni and cheese.

In addition bottles of wine are also sold for $20 apiece.

Boros tells 21 News these menu options are just the beginning and in the coming weeks, even more choices will be available including vegetarian and vegan options.
