He was charged with aggravated murder but found guilty instead with purposeful murder.
Antuan Parker, 43, shot 32-year-old Desirae Boss to death and abandoned her body.
Boss's body was found in a wooded area near Pershing and Choctaw Avenues on October 2nd of 2021. She was reported missing by family members prior to the discovery.
A woman walking her neighbor's dogs near the woods found the body and reported it to the police. The woman told police that the night before she discovered the body, she saw two SUVs stop in the area.
The coroner's office said Boss had a single gunshot wound to the head.
Parker was arrested and charged the following month for his alleged role in Boss's murder. This past June, Parker pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated murder with a firearm specification, gross abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and having a firearm under disability.
